Mission San Juan Capistrano
It was very peaceful at the lily pond.
I heard about the swallows that come here in March. It's May now, but I was still hopeful. I floated blissfully on my lily pad, gazing about. It would have made my day to have seen a swallow near the historic mission!
Instead of a sweet bird sound, I felt a bump from beneath my lily pad! Then I saw something orange approaching from my left!
Next thing I knew, there were about five fish underneath me and my little pad was rocking like the boat in Jaws!
Beth actually laughed like she thought it was funny. She snatched me and placed me back in the camera bag. I do not see the humor. The mouths on those fish open very wide. That is my last ride on a lily pad.
My mom gave me this tiny bear over 25 years ago... because I like small things.
