Little Bear's Adventures
On the Tracks Ms. Donkey and I spent 3 nights in Idaho on our road trip. We posed on some railroad tracks on our last day. Safe No worries! That train could not get to us. Train Depot Ms. Donkey and I hiked down the hill a bit, for a view of the old depot. I Love Trains I love the idea of trains and train stations! Maybe my next trip with Ms. Donkey will be a train trip. Cars are boring.

Boise, Idaho with Ms. Donkey Ms. Donkey and I have been jumping from state to state on our road trip. But we stayed put in Boise for 3 nights. We visited a pond on the top of a hill. Beth posed us on a lilypad. She laid on a rock and reached down to place us. I'm not sure it was a good idea, but she promised she'd jump in if we fell.
In Idaho, with Ms. Donkey This was my first time in Idaho and I got to enjoy it with my friend. We paused at the top of a hill and posed on a rock. From our rock, (next to the bench) we had a good view of the capital city. The sky was hazy because of recent fires... but the grass was green. I like Idaho.
Evening in Midway, Utah Today Ms. Donkey and I enjoyed our 4th state, on our road trip. We had a lovely evening on the terrace of an inn in Utah. Ms. Donkey seemed a little afraid of the blue boar, on the napkin. The View Thanks Beth and Don, for bringing us along. But next time, could you lift us a little higher. We couldn't even see the Wasatch Mountains, from the table!
Climbing with Ms. Donkey A lot of friends go on road trips to Colorado. Ms. Donkey and I didn't have time for mountain climbing, but we did climb. Big Ears We climbed right up next to some ears. Ahhhh! The View! We climbed right up on top of the horses head. We took a deep breath and took in the view. Surrounded by Mountains We didn't get to go to the Rockies, but we had a good climb on this old horse. And we got to see the beautiful mountains that surround Durango. That was good enough, for our one day in Colorado.
Ms. Donkey and Me... With Dolls Yesterday, Ms. Donkey and I woke in Amarillo, Texas. Today we woke in Santa Fe! I love road trips! Dolls? Santa Fe is very colorful. Our hotel room was very colorful. It was also pretty weird. There were a lot of dolls in that hotel guest room and their eyes were open all night long. Time to move on!
Cadillac Ranch Ms. Donkey and I are on a 6-state road trip. We posed with cactus in the Texas Hill Country, yesterday and today we saw the sunrise in west Texas. Ten Cadillacs It's pretty hard to see us, but we're on that shiny wheel. There were 10 cars to choose from, but we only posed on a couple. It's pretty silly that people sort of planted these cars in the dirt in 1974. Glowing Sun Here we are on the lumpy, bumpy paint, with the sun rising behind us. It was a sort of silly way to start our day. Layers of Paint As the sun came up, we could see more colors. People have been spray-painting these cars for years and years. You can see a chunk of pain missing , right beside us. One More Pose And here we are in a window. Well sort of. Good Bye Cadillacs There we are, in the corner of the rear window. I wanted to pose on the fin, but Beth couldn't reach. Plus Beth said, "We need to get out of here." The sun was getting up higher and tourists were coming with spray paint. We didn't want to get painted.
I'm Out Of The Bag! I am Little Bear! I usually write this blog, but my friend Ms. Donkey had to take over for a while. She wrote about the adventures that I was supposed to have in New York, with Beth and Don. But I was accidentally left in Texas, in Beth's camera bag. When Beth realized she'd left me behind, she borrowed a camera and snatched Ms. Donkey, so she could be in pictures. When their trip was over, they returned to Texas and I was rescued. Donkey told me all about her trip, while we climbed carefully on a cactus. Jealous? I was a little jealous hearing about her adventures in New York and Canada and Vermont. But then Beth said we were going on another trip. I decided I would take my friend, Ms. Donkey along... just this once! Tomorrow we head west!
A Tim Horton's Donut! (Ms. Donkey tells Little Bear) Little Bear, Beth told me that you once posed with a Tim Horton's donut at the Ottawa airport! I like that idea. We are in Ottawa now, so I picked the red and white one with the maple leaf, because it's Canada Day! Oh Canada!!! (That's a song, Little Bear!)
Now I am heading back to Texas tomorrow and we will come get you. Beth said she will never again forget you and her camera, when she goes on a trip! |
