I love Hydrangeas! I never see them in Texas. On a hot summer day, the cool flower petals can make a very refreshing bed!
Sitting in the flowers, beneath that awesome sign, I started getting hungry.
There were lots of people heading into Zehnders for fried chicken!
In fact one family stopped while Beth was snapping away with her camera. They asked if she would take their photo, with the colorful sign. They didn't invite me to be in their photo.
They were just jealous probably. They didn't get to sit in the Hydrangeas for their photo. Lucky me.
I love these interesting rocks. When they're dry, they all look kind of the same. But when you get them wet, they show all their colors and designs. Some show a spotted, coral design when their wet. That's because they are really fossilized coral!
Beth had some fun with the rocks on the picnic table. So did I. But the rocks dried out a whole lot faster than me!
My mom gave me this tiny bear over 25 years ago... because I like small things.
