Little Bear's Adventures
Posing Again Every year Beth poses me on a pumpkin... or in some candy corn... This is a very small pumpkin, so at least I didn't feel so tiny. But sometimes I want to get a little more involved in the holiday prep! Inside! Beth took me outside to carve a bigger pumpkin. It was 85 degrees, but nice and cool inside the pumpkin. In fact it was slimy and moist, kind of like being inside an orange cave. I offered to help remove the pumpkin seeds, but Beth said I was too slow. Can I Help? I offered to help design the face and I offered to help carve, but Beth told me to just hang out. I climbed a mountain of seeds and I sat in one of the carved eyes. Done So we finished our project and I'm feeling pretty eager to get it lit and on the porch tonight. I wonder if Beth will let me light the candle?

Fall in Lake Tahoe I'm posing in a bit of golden color, not far from the lake. Scary? That doesn't seem like a big deal, but it was. Don and Beth had just been told by some fellow hikers, there was a mountain lion ahead. "It's a young one." They explained. "He's in the grass and he blends right in." Don and Beth looked very carefully as they walked. Blending In Beth gave up looking for the lion very quickly. She posed me instead and I was sort of blending in with the fall colors. I just don't think that was a smart thing to do. What if mountain lions like to eat this yellow stuff!
Tahoe, Again Not to brag, but I've done some posing in Lake Tahoe. I've seen the snow... the Aspens... the mountains. Beth wasn't even going to take me out of her bag for a photo op. But I pointed out the pinecone. Sand & Beach I just think it's funny to see pinecones on the sandy beach. Then again there is snow on the mountains across Lake Tahoe. Lake Tahoe is a funny place.
That's why I like it!. St. Francis St. Francis was a good to animals, so I've heard. Many take their pets to church to be blessed on this day. But Beth has this statue in her yard, so this sort of worked. Other Animals As you can see there are a few more animals, waiting to be held. And in truth, Beth never intended to pose me with St. Francis. Earlier, she had rescued a butterfly from the pool. The poor thing was struggling to dry its wings and she thought about putting him on the statue. But he flew away. Then she rescued a wasp, thrashing in the pool. She saved him... even though she's been killing wasps all summer. She didn't attempt to put him on the statue. So I got a turn!
