Little Bear's Adventures
Grapes When you visit Northern California, you sort of have to go to a winery. But, I prefer to do my wine tasting on the vine. Tomatoes There are lots of other things that grow in California. I kind of like the tomatoes, too. Vineyards When I've had enough eating and drinking, I just take in the view.

Hurricane in Texas Hurricane Harvey headed towards Texas, just over a week ago. I tested out my canoe in the lake behind Beth and Don's house. Evacuation! On Sunday night Beth said there was a Mandatory Evacuation of our neighborhood. On Monday morning, Beth packed her camera bag (that's where I live) and other important things into the car. Then, Beth grabbed Ms. Donkey off the shelf. Ms. Donkey is my friend, but she's also Beth's tiny mascot. This time last year, her job was to help Beth kick cancer's bootie. Now Beth says, "Ms. Donkey can kick Harvey's bootie, too!" It's Friday We are lucky to have been invited to stay in a home that is dry and safe. But it's near water! I don't love that. The rains have stopped and the Brazos River near Beth's house is expected to crest today. My friend and I are worrying and wishing together. We hope the river doesn't rise too high and the house will be fine. Mostly I'm thinking about all those who are scared and worried all over Texas right now. I hope everyone has a friend, nearby! UPDATE: Saturday, September 2 We are back home and all is well. Off to help others!
