Snoopy  It's not every day you get to sit on your hero's nose. And Charlie Brown I posed with Snoopy and Charlie Brown when I visited Santa Rosa, California last month. I loved the statues because they stood proudly, like real people statues.
Serious and proud... not like cartoon characters.
It was almost as if they knew the big wildfires were coming and they were standing strong. It makes me sad, hearing about the fires that destroyed so many homes and buildings in Santa Rosa. But I think Snoopy and Charlie Brown are still okay. Whew.

Cooling Off With Bubbles  It's October and it's 90 degrees, here in Texas. I cooled off with a little Pool & Bubble Time. Glinda the Good I didn't really crawl inside this bubble, but that would have been fun.
Glinda, the Good Witch from The Wizard of Oz, spent some time floating around in a bubble. Just Watching  Mostly I just watched the bubbles floating around in the breeze. It wasn't that exciting. Bubble Friend  Then this guy came and sat down right beside me. I'm pretty sure this bubble was making friends with me. That's cool.
The Biggest Tree  I've posed in Palms and Aspens. But this was my first time sitting in a Redwood tree! Bark  I've posed in the Spanish moss that grows on Southern trees. I've posed on red leaves, hanging from Maple trees. And now I can say I've posed in the thick, bumpy bark of a Redwood! Roots  I've posed inside secret tree holes and I've posed on limbs and branches. Here I am, having fun on a tree root that was jutting up from the path. Where'd I go?  Well, I was on that lumpy root in the corner. I fell off before Beth snapped the picture.
