Watching the Sea
Last spring when I came to Galveston, I posed with an old house and I said I didn't care about visiting the beaches with all the tourists.
But Galveston is an island and there are miles of beach. So here I am. I found a spot with no people. Just me and the sea...and a seashell!
A few days ago I got a little excited about the beginning of school...with some crayons. But I keep seeing these little kids with these huge backpacks and I wonder what they could possibly need besides crayons. So I've been digging around and came up with some more supplies. I look like I know what I'm doing now. Hmmm? Maybe I need some Elmer's Glue.
I climbed to the top, so I could use it like a diving board into the pool.
And then I made the mistake of looking down.
And looking back...
I couldn't even figure out how I got up here.
Who put this plant so close to the pool?
They shouldn't be trying to tempt little bears to do dangerous things.
I've had enough mishaps.
I counted to three and slid back down.
Much better. That was too much work and stress. It's Labor Day after all. I'm going to take it easy!
My mom gave me this tiny bear over 25 years ago... because I like small things.
