Watching the Sea  Last spring when I came to Galveston, I posed with an old house and I said I didn't care about visiting the beaches with all the tourists.  But Galveston is an island and there are miles of beach. So here I am. I found a spot with no people. Just me and the sea...and a seashell!

Pencils and Chalk A few days ago I got a little excited about the beginning of school...with some crayons.  But I keep seeing these little kids with these huge backpacks and I wonder what they could possibly need besides crayons. So I've been digging around and came up with some more supplies. I look like I know what I'm doing now. Hmmm? Maybe I need some Elmer's Glue.
Funny Flower Today, I found a curious plant in a pot, by the pool. I decided to climb it.  I climbed to the top, so I could use it like a diving board. Looking Down  It was scary looking down.  I couldn't even figure out how I got up here. Who?  Who put this plant so close to the pool? They shouldn't be trying to tempt little bears to do dangerous things. I've had enough mishaps. I counted to three and slid back down. Much Better  That was too much work and stress. It's Labor Day after all. I'm going to take it easy!
