Little Bear's Adventures
Letting Loose! Beth is letting me take over the blog! I've been rebelling against past cutesy photos. Last week I hopped a train and made it to Bourbon Street just in time for festivities. Lent? Now it's time to get serious. What should I give up for Lent? As soon as I can wade out of this mess and get back to Houston, I'll think about it. Beth said she used to give up candy as a kid. But she also confided that during Lent, she stored every uneaten treat in an empty Nestle's Quik container. I say that's cheating. Dang, Beth! Stop posting on my blog! I can't believe she posted another Where's Waldo thing. Okay, so I'm in a bowl of stupid decorations at Beth's house. I didn't want anyone to really know I was just in Texas.
I'm a little late starting Lent, but I'm going to give up lying. So, fine... I never went to New Orleans. Maybe next year!

I've had enough! Beth has agreed to let me take over this blog! I am 20 years old, which is a lot older than Beth, in stuffed bear years. I'm sick of her posing me in silly pictures and writing about me as if she's speaking to Kindergarteners! Look at the latest! The other day she had me dangling forever underneath this eerie face hidden in a paper rose. I'm not Waldo!! Then she tucked me into this nightmare of musty old Valentine cards. It's just creepy, Beth! Chocolate Torture And then there was the chocolate pose! Do you have any idea what it's like to sit on a mountain of chocolate, with sweet fumes wafting up to my bear nostrils! My nose may be stitched, but it works! Sweet Revenge That's okay. Beth answered the phone and I just helped myself. There's got to be some payment here.
From now on I'm going to make use of some of these photo shoots and posing parties! Stay tuned! Coming Soon! As Valentine's Day approaches, it's time to be thinking about friends. Luckily Little Bear has a few friends he can depend on. Sometimes he doesn't have much to say. He just needs to hang out. And sometimes he just needs to cozy up... especially with friends who have soft hair. Sometimes Little Bear just needs a little boost. That's all. Most of the time, he just needs a friend to smile.
Muggy Days These hot muggy temps are making Little Bear reflect on the past... He recalls nervously sitting on a pinecone, observing his first snow in Lake Tahoe. Utah And he remembers trying to ski in Utah... He was still unsure of that wet stuff! He insisted the ski tip be wiped clean for his close up. Colorado But in Colorado he explored the snow in numerous ways. He posed with horses near the train depot. He found a fence near a sidewalk...good people watching. Fur is a useful thing for enjoying the snow. The Bear is not making much use of his in Texas this winter.
Celebrating the Chinese New Year After falling in champagne on December 31, Little Bear played down the Chinese celebration, just a bit. Tea and fortune cookie...no alcohol. Lots of pondering for Bear. He is sad that he had never been to China. Although he did visit Houston's Forbidden Garden last year. Here he is, shown last year, tucked inside the ear of a statue... pouting. He had just learned they were dismantling the museum. But then he climbed onto the roof of a miniature building... ...and found a small friend who shared his concerns. They gazed out over the sea of Chinese Warriors... ... and watched some very annoying buyers cart them away, one by one. Then Bear recognized someone buying one of the warriors! No more complaints from Bear... He and the Warrior have become close friends!
