Little Bear's Adventure's
Boating in Guatemala
It sort of looks like I'm perched on the tip of a giant, plaster tongue.
But I'm really on the tip of a special kind of boat called a Cayuco!
While walking around the edges of Lake Atitlan, we came upon a lineup of crude wooden boats. Each painted boat sat on the dirt, facing out to the water... waiting for the fisherman, who most likely made the boat himself.
I waited for a while, but not one fisherman came. I had so hoped to be invited to take a ride. From my good spot, I could have pointed out all the good fishing spots.
Maybe next time!
