A Year Ago On this day a year ago, I finished radiation. I shouldn't be looking back. I shouldn't be thinking about my wig wearing days. I can't help it though. I do look back and compare and ponder. It's what I do. Today Today instead of radiation, I went to a Christmas lunch with my book club. We talked about a million things, which is why I love this group. I didn't think about December 2016. But later I thought about my own odd anniversary and I dragged out the photo from our gathering, a year earlier. We 6 looked pretty much the same in both photos... except my half-wig and my scarf are gone and I have curly hair. Much has happened in all our lives in 12 months. For me, there have been travels and weddings and graduations and celebrations and a 60th birthday. A lot has happened with my hair, too! Yay, for this year of odd hair growth! Showtime! Here's a little slide show, starting with my bald head and ending on December 13, 2017 No Fuss Hair! Cheers for a year and a half without hairdryers and styling. Those darn curls are still unpredictable and a little scary at times, but they are easy. After I shower, I grab this old wig comb and give my wet hair a couple swipes. My attempts to dry and style only make things worse, so I've learned to embrace the surprise! How will it dry, today? So as I look back on 12 months, I have to smile. The hair growth has been slower and a little more frustrating than I ever expected. But it has made this year entertaining and memorable! On New Year's Eve I will privately toast to my Crazy Hair Year!

Not-So-Happy List
Cancer, Covid & Coronary... I started this complaining list/blog, in May 2016. I posted 200 gripes about my breast CANCER and then I was done. On March 13, 2020, I started venting all over again, when another disease (starting with a C) interfered with my life. This time it was the invasion of COVID and it affected every person. I ranted for a year, until I got my COVID vaccine in March 2021. CORONARY Artery Disease was the reason I restarted this blog on September 26, 2021. This time it was my hubby Don, who was dealing with a worry that started with the letter "C". Coronavirus and Cancer, Coronary Artery Disease! All are evil, but none can totally get me down... if I vent! I usually end up feeling a little more positive at the end of each post! Navigating This Mess! The most recent post is at the top, from coronary posts in 2022, back to cancer posts in 2016. To find past posts, look below the "Archives" section, to find "Categories". Archives
