Starting August, Out West 2018

​Together in Seattle

August could have been a moping month for me. For the first time, both kids and spouses were living about 2,000 miles away. But on August 3rd, we spent a couple of days together, in Seattle!

​Scott and Chali flew in from Sacramento. Heidi and Jamie made the easy drive from Portland. 

We had one day to explore a little of downtown. We spent much of it exploring the Market.

On another beautiful day, we gathered with my sister's family for yet another wedding celebration. Tobi's ceremony was the 5th wedding that our family has celebrated in 10 months!

Back Home

​Scott and Chali flew back to California, then Don and I said good-bye to Heidi and Jamie in their new hometown. As Don and I flew back to Texas, we had a toast to this new chapter.  

For the rest of August, we spent time at home. You can't really complain when you live in a sweet city named Sugar Land, where we have great double rainbow sightings!
