Home-Time, in February 2019

Happy Chinese New Year!

We stayed close to home in February! On the 5th, I celebrated the Lunar New Year with my volunteer groups. Then Don and I celebrated in the evening, with our own feast of Chinese food!

Valentine's Day
​

The weather was warm on Valentine's Day... about the only warm day all month. My neighbor Mara invited friends for brunch. What a spread of food!

Tropical Celebration
​

In the evening, the weather was still warm enough to sit outside. Don made an exotic Lapu Lapu cocktail, for sharing. Then we grilled shrimp kabobs.
​

Hill Country
​

Our only travel this month, was 2 nights at the cabin. We spotted our first bluebonnet of the season... at the top of the hill, at sunset.

​Stuff!
​

I spent a good amount of time this month, sorting through old boxes. I got bogged down with old letters and memorabilia. I had a few laughs over old dolls. So many boxes were sent off to donation centers... but I hardly made a dent!

Hollywood
​

The Academy Awards gave us one more excuse to celebrate. Don and I "dressed" for the occasion and set out a spread of food. We gabbed and laughed throughout the entire awards show, without falling asleep. We vow to see more movies this year.
