A photo of a dog can make a person laugh or smile. Just look at Facebook. But real dogs are better and it's been a long time since our dog Molly lived with us. She died when Don and I were new empty nesters. We started traveling a lot, so my pet fixes came from hotel cats and dogs in the quaint, pet friendly places we stayed. Last January I got the very best dog fix with Bailey on the beach in Florida. Meeting up with Jennifer & Kate on many of our travels last year, gave us lots of pet time! Best Dogs: Mac, our first boxer in Iowa. He thought he owned Grinnell and often returned home by police car... Tucker, the abandoned Maltese that Mom adored, even with a frightening haircut that caused Mom to sigh, "Oh Tucker you're a hard one to love, but I'm going to try." And Molly. We spotted the sweet, sad Weimaraner-mix on the couch of the kids' piano teacher. She'd been rescued that day. I gasped to see her, because she looked like the deer-like colt I had seen in my dream the night before. Molly became ours.
