Little Bear's Adventure's
Hanover, New Hampshire (Ms. Donkey tells Little Bear) Little Bear, I miss you so much on this trip and I want to send you a letter. In New Hampshire, we stopped at an old post office, but I didn't have a stamp or a postcard. An Old Scale So I had Beth take a picture of me on this old scale. I hope this photo makes you laugh. Remember when you posed on a funny scale once? Was it in May of 2017? You made it look so fun, that I had to try.
Anyway, I miss you!

Burlington, Vermont (Ms. Donkey Tells Little Bear) Little Bear, here is a special friend I met. She is the granddaughter of Beth's childhood friend. My new friend is very funny and smart and she has a good imagination. I know you're feeling sad that you got left in Texas and didn't get to meet her.
But guess what? Shelburne Farm (Ms. Donkey tells Little Bear) I went to a very, very fancy farm in Vermont. Little Bear, you would have liked it. Adirondack Chairs! I know how many times you have posed on these kinds of chairs, Little Bear. These chairs were on a big lawn, with a beautiful building behind them. Looking Out to the Water While sitting on the back of the chair, I got a better idea. ROUND! I saw something round to balance on. I love round things. I posed, just for you! We'll have to come back here, sometime. Hopefully Beth will never forget you again, when she goes on a trip. I hope she never does. It's hard writing this blog for you!
Flowers at the Castle (Ms. Donkey tells Little Bear) Little Bear, I am posing in flowers for you. Since you aren't on this trip with us, I'm trying to do the things you usually do in your photos. I know you've been in a lot of photos with flowers! Vermont Castle Inn I was so busy climbing around in the bushes and flowers, that I almost didn't notice the celebration happening at the nearby table. Champagne Beth and her family were busy celebrating with champagne. They were so busy they forgot to invite me to join in. I didn't want to miss out on the fun, so I got myself over there. A Perfect Spot When no one was looking, I found a cozy place to sit a while. There was even a drop of champagne, within reach. But I didn't have a sip. It's no fun celebrating without you, Little Bear! I will make sure Beth doesn't accidentally leave you behind, when she travels next time.
I Am Ms. Donkey I am Little Bear's friend. I am writing Little Bear's Blog, because he is trapped in Beth's camera case, back in Texas. Beth didn't realize she had left her camera at their lake cabin, until she was packing for the New York trip. I told Beth I could go along on the trip and she could use another camera. Little Bear had so hoped to pose for Beth when they went to Lake Placid. So I posed instead, just like Little Bear did many years ago... before he was lost. The Sign on the Rock This is an old photo. It was taken after Beth realized Little Bear wasn't in her pocket. Beth left a "Lost" sign on the rock, before she left town. A family found Little Bear and then noticed the sign and they mailed him back to Texas. The story is really more complicated. Dear Little Bear... Little Bear, I hope you don't think I was having fun doing your posing for you. You can tell I'm not smiling, so please don't be jealous that I went on the trip that you were supposed to go on.
It wasn't a very pretty day in Lake Placid. It was kind of boring, sitting on the fire hydrant, like you did years ago. But I guess I shouldn't complain, since Beth didn't lose me. There was no hole in her pocket, this time. |
