Little Bear's Adventure's
Happy Halloween! There is no exclamation (above) after the word Halloween. That is to show you how I was feeling about posing in candy corn. Beth said I could eat all I wanted after she took my picture. I told her I hate candy corn and could I please have a Snickers. She said she ate them all.

Somewhere in Illinois... We made a stop on our road trip so I could do some posing. It almost looks like I'm sitting in the middle of some bars of baking chocolate... that have been sitting around in the pantry too long! But really I was really sitting on what was once a muddy river bank! Cracked mud is not everyone's idea of a scenic spot to watch the sunrise. But I could peek through a couple slabs of cement and look out over the Missouri River! No complaints!
World Series Time The World Series didn't happen in Iowa this year. But while traveling through the state, I had a little of my own baseball fun while the series was going on. I Had a Ball I had a ball, just sitting on a ball. It's not that easy! You can't tell from this photo, but it was really cold and windy. I kept slipping off the ball. If this picture had sound, you would hear the wind rustling the dry cornfields behind me! "Field of Dreams!" Yep, that's where I was. The location where they filmed the movie about 25 years ago is just outside the small Iowa town of Dyersville. I kept posing on that ball in case there were any film crews lurking. No crews, no baseball players. Just lots of wind and corn!
I Love Corn! I could sit around in cornfields like this, all day! I love hearing the wind rustle through the stalks... Hold on a Minute! While I was enjoying the corn, Beth kept stepping back further and further to get more pictures. It was making me very nervous. Corn Is Like Hay I kept thinking of that old farm saying... something about finding a needle in a hay stack! Come back, Beth!
I'm glad she was able to find me. |
