Little Bear's Adventure's
In Glacier National Park!
I can't believe Beth actually took this photo of me after I slipped into the water. Okay, the water was very still and I was in no danger of being swept away... but really.
Picnic & Pictures
Beth and her husband, Don were on a road trip, when they stopped for a picnic. Beth decided the view was so beautiful, she placed me on one of the colorful river rocks and squatted down to take a picture. It was a stupid idea to begin with, because you can barely see me in this photo.
A gust of wind was all it took. I tumbled in sideways and she actually clicked the camera before she noticed. Then she took one more before she pulled me out! I actually think I heard her laughing.
Back on the Rock
The sun was warm so she put me back on the rock. I was so soggy at this point I don't think the wind could have budged me.
The Warm Quilt
Beth brought me over to the quilt and let me soak up the sun while she and Don had their picnic. I'll admit, I didn't mind that at all. I didn't even mind the fact, they were sitting there eating away and not sharing one bit. I just enjoyed the view.
But then they finished. And Beth was acting like she was in some kind of major hurry and she was tossing stuff into the picnic cooler, not paying attention to anything. There is no picture of me or Beth when she stood up and grabbed the quilt in 2 hands and gave those crumbs... and me a mighty shake-off!
Thank You, Don!
Beth took this picture before the "shake off". But I'm showing it at the end of my story, because Don is my hero. I can still here his voice, "BETH!" Don did not forget I was sitting on the quilt. He even saw me fly off and he found me pretty quickly in the rocks.
That's a lot of mishaps in a very short amount of time!
My mom gave me this tiny bear over 25 years ago... because I like small things.
