Ruins and a Flower
It was hot when we visited the ruins of Chichen Itza. I hid under the shade of a flower for a while.
Beth insisted I be in a photo with the most famous of the old Maya ruins. But El Castillo was very blurred in this photo.
You can guess whose hand that is. The blur behind me is El Castillo.
Sharing the Spotlight
Beth wanted to hold me in this photo. Yep, the ruins are in focus, but I'm not. Beth just wanted to hog the spotlight. She's in focus, too.
If you wander off a while you can find some ruins that aren't totally protected by ropes. I sat right down on one big, chunky circle. You can see the columns in the distance, behind me. I love being right in the middle of Mayan history!
My mom gave me this tiny bear over 25 years ago... because I like small things.
