Little Bear's Adventures
|
Sweet Nora Nora is the newest member of the family. She is just over 4 months old, so I didn't try to play. Beth introduced us. She looked a little confused. I was a little scared she might put me in her mouth. We were all much happier when I slipped back into her pocket! I could feel her little happy heart beating!
I love Baby Nora so much!

Christmas 2024 This is a picture of Christmas Day, of me and another Little Bear. I am still the LITTLER Bear! But this whole thing was a little worrisome. Charlie's Christmas Wish My Little Buddy, Charlie asked Santa to bring her a Little Bear for Christmas. That scared me. Am I not good enough? But then I remembered, that I live with Beth. Charlie asked Santa to also bring a little bike and a skateboard for her Little Bear. 2 Bears and 2 Toys That actually worked out pretty well! Beth brought me out of the bag and I was introduced to Charlie's Little Bear. But Big Little Bear got to ride the tricycle and she put me down on the skateboard. I felt like I was taking a nap. No fair. Then she helped me sit up on the skateboard and I could enjoy the action!
Yay for a new friend and new Christmas toys! Beach? We didn't really go to the beach. But we sat in some sunshine and had some fun with shells. She stayed inside, though. My favorite Buddy, Charlie had played outside in the sun all morning. Charlie put me inside the conch shell very carefully. I didn't want to get stuck deep inside! Then she put me right on top of a scallop shell, beside some spotted shells with fun shapes. Charlie thought it was pretty funny. I loved playing on our pretend beach, with our clean shells. No worries about waves and sand!
4 Faces Here I am, joining in with a set of nesting dolls. I tried to look pleasant, like the other 3 faces. But I left the 3 dolls alone after a while. I couldn't conjure up a proper smile. Missing My Buddy Seeing the dolls made me miss my Buddy, Charlie. Last June, Charlie was 2 and we played with the nesting dolls. Charlie liked to take out the little "Baby" doll and hide it. Then she'd ask, "Where's Baby?" Me Then Charlie had fun putting me inside the big doll. She was very pleased with herself. And I was happy to play.
It's been almost a year since we played with these dolls. Charlie is 3 and much bigger. I hope she'll still want to hide me in the doll. With Charlie In February, I got to spend some time with Charlie at the cabin. She's 3 now, so I don't think she'll eat me... or throw me... or lose me! Puzzles Charlie took me around the cabin and let me play with games. I wasn't too interested in the puzzle. She could tell and she moved me. Chess I told her I could be the King if she put a crown on my head. She didn't think much of that. Dice Charlie got out the wooden dice. She made me a little chair. Skittles Then Charlie found the biggest of all the games. She had the best time standing all the pins up, on the little circles. She let me watch from above. Riding on the Top Then she wanted Beth to let me ride on the spinning top! That was really not fun. I felt dizzy and of course I fell off. March We went back to the cabin in March. Charlie and Beth did some practicing. I'm getting better at staying on. But I'd rather go back to chess!
Surprise! Charlie looked surprised to see me when we were at a restaurant in Austin. She didn't need crayons and paper for entertainment while we waited for food. I was excited when she found an umbrella (from somebody's drink) that was just my size! Food came and it was time for me to go back into Beth's purse.
I don't like being put away. I do like good-bye kisses! Playing with Charlie It was a pretty summer day in Sacramento. I got to come out of the bag and spend some time with Charlie. The family had to wait almost an hour for a table at the restaurant. So I was good entertainment. "Grandma Beth" had a good time watching Charlie have fun with me. Charlie is almost two and a half years old and she is very funny. She put me on her nose. Then she tossed me behind the bench. It took Beth a long time to find me. I went back in the bag and Grandma Beth did some explaining to Charlie.
Grand Canyon I can't believe I'm at the Grand Canyon! I'm much happier posing on a stump with Smokey Bear, than near the edge of the canyon! Charlie I'm so happy that I'm traveling with this playful girl! Charlie, Smokey, Yoda and I had fun! Charlie thought it was pretty funny when she knocked me into the funny hole on the stump. Again, I'm glad we were not playing close the Canyon!
With my Buddy I love spending a holiday with a buddy. This plastic doll is not my BEST buddy. My Buddy Charlie Charlie is Beth's granddaughter, but she is my best buddy. She is two now. That's old enough to celebrate! Choosing Beth put me on the table with the doll and guess who Charlie reached for? But she didn't exactly hug that baby. Luckily she didn't think that baby was candy. I think she likes me better than that baby. Tired Charlie Charlie got tired before Beth got a good picture of the two of us. It was time for nap and the baby and I were forgotten King Cake By evening the "adults" had Sazeracs and shrimp jambalaya. The baby and I got to make an appearance on the cake. But Charlie headed for bed, before the cake was cut into. Where's Charlie? I wish Charlie didn't have to go bed all the time. But at least I wasn't alone on the cake. My new plastic baby-friend and I laughed and said we were glad to NOT be inside the cake. There was actually another one buried inside.
I'm glad I got to spend a little time celebrating with my Best Buddy, earlier! Charlie and Me Charlie came to my house for Christmas! We haven't seen each other for many months. I think she was happy to see me. Sitting Around She put me on a chair. I sat around a while. I sat and I watched Charlie. I sat some more. Then Charlie found me another chair. I sat some more. Then... It was time to put me back in my bag. Charlie is very careful with me.
I love her. Happy Valley, Oregon Charlie is finally old enough to play. I climbed into her toy cup and waited. Charlie didn't notice me, until Beth put the cup on her highchair tray. She seemed intrigued. Not So Sure Charlie was amused, until I climbed out. She was not a bit sure about me. Funny? After she touched me, she suddenly thought I was hysterically funny. I'm not sure what to think about that. Charlie's high pitched squeals were almost painful! She seemed delighted, but she still didn't want to touch me again. Pocket Time I found a good way to spend some time with Charlie, so she could get comfortable with me. She was okay having me in her pocket, but she still wasn't sure. Finally Eventually, Beth pulled me out of the pocket. Charlie reached with her hand and cautiously held me with two fingers. With the help of her Support Panda Mei Mei in one hand, Charlie was able to enjoy my company.
I love Charlie. Me & Candy I love sweets at Christmastime. I love tasting candy, but I also like building candy. House Building We are staying with Heidi and her family for Christmas. We had a tiny project today. Heidi and Baby Charlie had some fun with a mini Gingerbread house. We built a silly house. Charlie looked at it. I posed with it. Then that little house ended up in the trash. Poor thing. Oh well. I stole a couple nibbles, before the house disappeared. Christmas 2021 I've never had a Christmas with toys before! These toys belonged to Baby Charlie. When she slept, I got to play. Musical Toys! So many colorful toys! Santa must have brought them. I especially love toys that make music. But I wasn't able to make a sound. Sharing Toys I had a lot more fun when Baby Charlie woke up and decided to play! She wasn't too sure what to think of me. I think she likes me! Charlie & Me Charlie and I are just getting to know each other. She let me sit on her stacking tower. That was nice.
I love playing and I love Charlie! 5 Months Old I am getting to know Charlie again. I saw her last when she was 13 days old and now she is 5 months! She didn't notice me at first. I wanted her to see me, because I am her Uncle Little Bear... sort of. But Charlie is very wise for a 5-month-old. She studied me with her eyes. Then she felt my fur with her fingers and then she looked long and hard... before she tried to taste me. That's when Beth put me away.
I miss Charlie already! Finally! We've been in Oregon for a month and I finally got to do what I've been hoping to do! Today, I got to meet Baby Charlotte! She held me in her tiny hand. Beth put a pacifier in her mouth. Was she scared the baby would eat me? Little Charlie is only 13 days old, today. Some people tell me her eyes can't really focus yet, but I think she looked at me and wondered. And I wonder about her! Someday she will cuddle big stuffed animals and play with toys. Will she have a favorite? I hope I will be her favorite someday.
