Another Close Call

​Lost!

I've been worried lately that Beth might replace me with some other tiny, photogenic critter!  She got this little wooden donkey out the other day and posed him on candy.

As it turns out, she was trying to set up a pose with me AND the donkey. But when she tried to get me from her camera bag, I wasn't there.  She fretted and stewed.  She was pretty sure she hadn't taken me out of the house since she'd last taken my photo on her Thanksgiving plate. However, she wasn't convinced I was in the house. She announced, "He probably got thrown out, during the post-feast clean up!"

Vacuum Time!

Days after I went missing, Don found me when the vacuum when "clunk".  He discovered me on the carpet, where I had blended in for a few days.  Beth thinks I must have flipped out of the camera bag when she set up the photo op the other day. I had been hollering at them for 3 day, but they never heard me.

Mr. Clean

I'm glad Don was vacuuming and not Beth.  She is wild and crazy with that machine and probably wouldn't have noticed the clunking sound. 

Don is much more sensitive and aware of his surroundings when he cleans.  He heard my paws when I pounded on the vacuum, fighting to keep from being sucked up!

When Don told Beth the good news, she squealed!  I guess she really did think I was gone.  She got out that donkey and put us on the candy again for a photo op.

First Day of Winter

Today is the official first day of winter and Ms. Donkey and I are celebrating!  We are sharing this candy cane and counting the days till Christmas!
